Privacy Policy

Last updated November 1, 2026. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it and how we protect it.

1. Who we are

Rahber Institute of Quran & Islamic Studies ("Rahber Institute", "we", "us") operates rahberquraninstitute.com and provides online Quran and Islamic-studies classes to families worldwide. For any privacy question, contact us at rahberislamicinstitute@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

  • Enquiry & trial-booking data: name, WhatsApp number, email, country, city, student age and learning goals — provided by you through our forms or WhatsApp.
  • Enrolment data: billing name, class schedule preference and, where applicable, payment identifiers issued by our payment provider (we never store full card details).
  • Automatic data: IP address, device / browser type, referring URL, pages viewed and time on page — via Google Analytics and standard server logs.
  • Advertising data: when you consent to marketing cookies, Google AdSense and similar partners may set cookies or device identifiers used for ad measurement and personalisation.

3. How we use your data

  • To schedule and deliver Quran classes and reply to enquiries (contractual basis).
  • To send class reminders, progress updates and service messages (legitimate interest / contract).
  • To improve our website and courses through anonymous analytics (consent).
  • To show relevant ads on partner platforms when you have consented (consent).
  • To meet legal, tax and safeguarding obligations.

4. Cookies & tracking

We use a small number of essential, analytics and advertising cookies. Full detail — including how to change your choice — is in our Cookie Policy. You can withdraw or update consent at any time from the cookie banner shown on our site.

5. Google AdSense & third-party advertising

This website may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visits to our site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

6. How we share your data

We only share personal data with:

  • Certified Quran teachers who deliver your booked classes.
  • Trusted service providers (hosting, email, payments, analytics, advertising) who process data on our behalf under contract.
  • Authorities where legally required.

We never sell personal data.

7. International transfers

Because we serve families in the USA, Canada, UK, Australia and Europe, some processing (hosting, email, analytics) happens outside your home country. We rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards where applicable.

8. Data retention

We keep enquiry data for up to 24 months after last contact, enrolment records for the period required by tax and accounting law (typically 6–7 years), and analytics data for up to 26 months.

9. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA and similar), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Contact rahberislamicinstitute@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

10. Children's privacy

Our classes are designed for children, but enrolments and payments are handled through a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect data directly from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent.

11. Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls and vetted processors. No online service is 100% secure — please protect your account and notify us immediately if you suspect misuse.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version. Material changes will be notified on the homepage or by email where appropriate.
