Our teaching methodology

Every class is one-on-one over Zoom or Google Meet with a certified teacher who stays with your student. Lessons use a digital Mushaf, screen sharing, audio practice, and a weekly progress report sent to parents. Students are never rushed and never embarrassed — pace and patience are core to our method.

Tajweed at Rahber is taught by Ijazah-holders only — every teacher on this programme has a documented chain of recitation in Hafs ʿan ʿĀsim and many also carry Ijazat in other Qira'at. We don't teach Tajweed as a dry rulebook; rules are introduced on real Ayahs the student is already reading, so the application is immediate and the muscle memory sticks. What a typical Tajweed Course class looks like

Each Tajweed lesson opens with a 5-minute Makharij warm-up (the teacher calls a letter, the student produces it in isolation), followed by a focused 20-minute rule block — for example, the four states of Noon Sakinah with live application on a Surah of the student's choice. The lesson ends with a short recorded recitation that's saved to a shared folder so the student can hear their own improvement week over week.

Common challenges — and how we solve them

• Adult learner with 'fossilised' mistakes

  We isolate each mispronounced Makhraj in dedicated drills before reintroducing it in context — most adult students see a measurable shift in 4–8 weeks.

• Knows the rule but can't apply it live

  Teachers run weekly 'rule-spotting' exercises where the student reads aloud and pauses every time a rule fires — bridging theory and live recitation.

• Can't tell if their Tajweed is actually improving

  Lesson-one and lesson-twelve recordings are sent side-by-side so families can hear the progress, not just take our word for it.

Students with strong Tajweed are well-placed to begin Hifz with structured Sabaq, Sabqi and Manzil revision.
