Welcome to Islam. The first month feels overwhelming for everyone — that is normal. This roadmap is the same one we walk new Muslims through at Rahber Institute, one calm step at a time.
Week 1: Shahada and Wudu
Focus only on understanding the Shahada deeply, learning Wudu, and praying Fajr and Maghrib. That's it. Do not try to learn everything at once.
Week 2: All five daily prayers
Add the remaining three prayers, one per day. Use the same short Surahs (Fatiha + Ikhlas) until you are comfortable.
Week 3: Start the Arabic alphabet
Begin Noorani Qaida with a patient teacher. 15 minutes a day is enough at this stage.
Week 4: Build your community
Find your local masjid, attend Jumuah, and connect with one trustworthy Muslim friend or mentor.
Frequently asked questions
No. You can begin learning gradually. Salah works with short Surahs you can memorize in days.
