Many Huffaz and Islamic teachers want to start their own online Quran academy. After 10+ years running Rahber Institute, here is the checklist we wish we had on day one.
How to Start an Online Quran Academy in 2026 Teachers, courses, pricing, scheduling and the software you need — a checklist from an academy serving 20+ countries.
- Best for
- Families building a full Islamic curriculum at home
- Format
- Long-form guide · 8 min read · scholar-reviewed
- Outcome
- Clear path through Aqeedah, Seerah and Fiqh — age-appropriate
Step 1: Who will teach?
Start with certified teachers you trust, ideally with Ijazah, and offer both male and female teachers — many families ask for an Ustadha for their daughters.
Step 2: Which courses will you offer?
Most academies begin with Noorani Qaida, Quran Recitation, Tajweed and Hifz, then add Islamic Studies and a New Muslims course.
Step 3: How will you price classes?
Simple monthly plans work best — for example 2 or 3 classes per week — with a sibling discount and a free trial.
Step 4: Which LMS will run the academy?
Choose software built for Quran academies from the start. We use MadrasaSuite to manage students, teachers, classes, time zones, fees, payroll and teacher support. Switching later is painful, so start organised.
Step 5: How will you grow?
Focus on teacher quality, parent communication and a website that answers questions. To get MadrasaSuite for your academy, visit madrasasuite.com or WhatsApp +92 347 3803012.
